oh the construction!

lately i've been waking up feeling quite fatigued like i could sleep all day. but i get up regardless and spend time with my husband before he goes to work and then i start my day. yesterday, i admit, i relaxed for the day and tried to get rid of this tiredness, but to no avail, i'm still tired! haha. usually, during the day i'm doing research and feeding the homeless lady that eats out of our rubbish bins. recently, i've also been taking prayer walks around the village, praying for all the ancestor idolatry that goes on everyday. i've been walking up to the large and famous temple behind our house. so many people go up there on a daily basis to pray and offer up fruit and hell money to their ancestors. it is truly depressing. today i walked up there and just slowly walked around the grounds with monster truck (our dog) and prayed. a lady was there praying with her daughter, so i walked up next to her and simply said yesu oi nei (Jesus Loves You). she looked up at me and looked as though she was going to cry. she walked out shortly after and quite quickly.

i dont know if i can get in trouble for that, but fortunately for me and those around, i do not care. ;-P i know some people use tracks as a tool to tell people about the Lord. i've never felt comfortable doing that. i definitely do not have any problem with it, as i know that if the Lord can use someone like me, he can use anything to speak out His truth. but personally, i'd rather talk to people or pray over them silently and wait until the Holy Spirit opens up an opportunity or shows me what my next move is to be. i'm slowly learning that one of my biggest jobs here in hong kong is to be a silent warrior, one who prays.

for the past week, there has been an incessant amount of construction happening outside our house. literally i could toss a rock and it'd fall into the huge gaping holes that have been dug. its been quite irritating as you can imagine, since its loud and stinky! thankfully, we move next week and we will not be bothered by that anymore. but the construction men love monster truck! they think that she is just the cutest thing in the world. on occasion they have actually stopped working just to bend down and pet her. ;-P i think its really funny to see these strong men ogle over a fluffy, small 4 pound dog! so today, i went out and watched what they were doing for a few minutes and prayed for their safety and i prayed that if they didn't already know the Lord that they would either provide me an opportunity to tell them or that someone else will come in and let them know the true gospel of Jesus Christ. i will have to be very in tune with the Lord's calling as there are about 10 guys out there and i want to be safe. so we'll see what happens and what the Lord asks of me. i'll let you know. maybe this will be a time where i do use simple tracks to hand out to each of them. we'll see what comes of it. the Lord be glorified.

agape,

christin joy.

I've been waking up fatigued--from about the same time Brandon was born...

Post a shot of those construction workers holding Monster Truck--would love to post that in the next weavescene!

Hope you're settled in the new digs.

Carry on, silent warrior.
